Don’t you just love seeing a well-dressed man? I do. And I think with the right staples in a closet (with wooden hangers, of course) getting dressed will be easy and looking stylish a give-in.
These are the basics for spring with a few little tips. Pass them on to your hubby or tell your freinds to give me a call if they need a little help.
Pants. Straight jeans with a rolled cuff. The rolled cuff is popular right now for women and men and allows you to do something a little different with your old or new jeans or trousers. Jeans: Levi’s. Linen Pants: Ralph Lauren.

Woven Tie. Love this tie. A great trend for spring. Worn casually with a short-sleeved shirt and jeans or dressier under a suit jacket.

Blue Blazer. I think I may have mentioned this blazer in a previous blog. Worth mentioning again. Looks great with khaki’s and jeans. If you want to re-think date night, might be worth investing. Rag and Bone.

Cargo Shorts. Any of my female clients know I tend to stray far away from anything cargo…but I actually like it for men. Less is better. Not too much cargo. These are perfect. Ralph Lauren.

Street Shoes. I recommend street shoes for any of my male clients that want help in the lifestyle department. I don’t think you have to go crazy and get a “skate shoe” but a nice leather sneaker is fun and hip. Converse.

Summer Sandal. This is a hard sell on most men. So I suggest this kind of sandal if you want an alternative to the traditional flip flop. Plus you can wear them to a dressier event with trousers and a nice sweater. I find that some men don’t like things between their toes. Apparently they appreciate comfort. Strange, I know. Paul Smith.

Great T-shirts. I like a good black v-neck on a man and amazing white tee-shirts are essential wardrobe staples. Spend a bit of money on these. You will wear them frequently and the H&M ones don’t look the same once you’ve washed them. Levi’s.

The Polo Shirt. It’s a preppy look. I love it. I think most men look great in a polo shirt. Looks great with jeans or under a blazer. Can’t go wrong with the Ralph Lauren Polo Shirt.

Cardigan. This camel color is great for spring. I loved the color of the shirt underneath too. Again, Ralph Lauren. ( i swear i am usually not this brand biased)

Swim Shorts. Ok here’s the deal. Most men wear shorts that are too long. The trend is mid-length. This length is really flattering and age appropriate for men over 25. Just my opinion. I recommend at least having a basic black pair and then adding some of other colors. Orlebar Brown(black) and Hartford (grey).

Weekend Bag. I think all men should have a great carry-on bag. Actually EVERYONE should. This one is from Surface to Air and is fantastic and it was under $200.
